AVITA

Are you familiar with this word ‘AVITA’? Well, you may or may not be familiar with it, But you are about to get, because it is not just a word at all!!

AVITA is a consumer lifestyle brand created by a former R&D and branding team of Radio Corporation of America (R.C.A) in the United States in 2016. It has been solely run and owned by NEXSTGO since then.

AVITA product series ranges from PC, Smart home and IOT devices focusing on three core values: Liberty, Diversity and Individualism for an exceptional and highly personal experience to the new generation of tech users.

AVITA debuted in India with Liber series of laptops in early 2019 starting at just 24,990/-Rs. That goes all the way up to 67,490/-Rs .They also introduced smart scale, smart mirror which fall under IOT category.

They also introduced AVITA Essential laptop in late October of 2020 at just 17,990/-Rs. (Yes it is surprising because people buy phones at this price point or even higher!!)

NEXSTGO

Founded in 2016 by Wilson Leung & Alex Chung, Nexstgo is a Hong Kong based computer Technology Company that develops, manufactures and sells PCs, Laptop, IOT and smart home devices.

Sounds familiar right...?

Familiarities exist because Nexstgo actually own the U.S. consumer electronics brand AVITA.Nexstgo have their own series of commercial laptops that are being sold individually. Nexstgo has been selling some of its Primus series laptops in India since November of 2018.

Nexstgo has two strong research and development team in Taiwan as well as manufacturing facilities in China. The company has expanded in twelve global markets including mostly Asian markets and U.S.

And the company is also in partnership with VAIO Corporation since June 2018.

“VAIO”.....if it does not ring bells in your mind, let me give you a reminder.

Vaio laptops were previously made and sold by Sony and were known for their sleekness, being lightweight and having superb built quality.

But in February 2014, the VAIO brand was sold to Japan Industrial Partners Inc (JIP) as Sony underwent a strategic restructuring. As a result VAIO laptops were pulled from store shelves outside Japan.

JIP established VAIO Corporation in July 2014 to continue to plan, Design, Develop and make VAIO PCs.

In June 2018, Nexstgo announced that it has been licensed by VAIO Corporation to bring VAIO laptops back into several Asian markets including Hong Kong, Macau, Malaysia Etc.

The agreement between Nexstgo and Vaio Corporation spans Manufacturing, Distribution, Sales, Marketing and laptop servicing.

After the arrival of work from home concept, demands for laptops have significantly increased and thus the electronics market has became highly competitive. Nexstgo and Avita together offering a variety of products at very aggressive price point and after knowing their history, would you really opt to buy their laptops??
